Balearics Beaches! !

The Balearic beaches are a destination that can fulfil even the most demanding taste with its great variety in terms of the landscape and the services they provide. With crystal clear waters, most of them nominated with the Blue Flag, the picturesque beaches offer you privacy or crowd depending on your needs. Deep waters for water sports or shallow for your kids to bathe, golden sand beaches with excellent facilities like bars etc. or secluded beaches with coves, rest self-assured that quality will dominate

The Balearic Islands form an archipelago in the Mediterranean just off the east coast of Spain. It is composed of three main islands - Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza, and two other smaller islands - Formentera and Cabrera. These islands have one thing in common - miles and miles of beautiful beaches! There are white sand beaches, pebble beaches, stone beaches, gravel beaches. Some beaches are crowded with thousands of sun lovers, and others are virtually uninhabited.

There are more than fifty beaches in the island of Menorca but most of the better ones are near Ferreries and Ciutadella, in the south. Mallorca has 250 miles of coastline and most of the sandy beaches are on the Southern and Eastern side of the island. And Ibiza offers different kinds of beaches to suit your preference. But nevertheless, the clear, blue and warm waters always paint the same picture – that of beauty.

But don’t let that fool you - behind that façade and the constant barrage of multinational globe-trotters and pleasure seekers, are islands that have contrasting personalities and are rich and vibrant in culture.

Visiting the Balearic Islands is like getting more you bargained for. Most people are lured to the islands because of their white sand beaches, beachfront hotels and the hip urbanite and cosmopolitan lifestyle, but still, the Islands have so much more to offer. A trip to inland Mallorca shows a whole new dimension – with its rugged mountains and scenic rural heartland. A quick tour around Menorca can lead to you quaint towns and fishing villages, or to Mount Toro – the island’s highest point. And if you venture outside Ibiza’s clubbing areas and shed off your dancing shoes, you’ll be surprised to find traditional Spanish villages and virtually unspoilt beaches.
