Balearics Diving !

The rich bottom in the Mediterranean Sea is offered for scuba diving, and especially Mallorca. It is an unforgettable experience both for professional and amateurs.

Another way to see the beauty of the Balearics is not on land, but underwater! The waters are warm and clear most of the year, although the waters during winter are a little bit unpredictable. There are many diving operations and schools in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza that cater to all types of divers around. There are different training facilities for everyone, from diving beginners to the experienced. Scuba diving equipment is also available there. You can choose to go reef diving, wall diving, cave diving or wreck diving – or choose to do all during your stay in the Balearics!

The marine life in the waters of the Balearics is so diverse. There are barracudas, eels, octopus, jacks, rainbow wrasse, and squid. groupers, squid, sea slugs, lobsters and so much more. Mallorca’s small shallow coves in the east and south coves of a have waters perfect for diving. Take diving to a whole new level by cave diving in the Cave of Madonna, a cavern with a statue of the Madonna inside. Or dive around the Island of El Toro, a newly designated natural reserve. Diving in Ibiza and the little islands that surround it is another experience on its own.

There are several dive sites there like the Playa den Bossa, Cala Llonga, and Port d Es Torrent. Minorca is another diving experience all by itself. Although smaller than it’s sister island Mallorca, it is the island least crammed with tourists. You can choose to go wreck diving, or go diving at the Pont d'en Gil – a renowned cave in Ciutadella. The Spanish government usually asks for insurance and medical statements from all divers, and most diving operations will provide that.
