Welcome to your Balearics Travel Guide

Balearics, a small island which is a part of the Balearic Islands, lies 90 km off the East coast of Spain, in the Western Mediterranean.Balearics is rather small, only 45 km long and 25 km wide, and its year round population is almost 100.000. Most of the inhabitants are centred in and around the three main towns: the capital Balearics Town Balearics travel guide, Balearics Sunset

San Antonio and Santa Eulalia. However this number increases significantly in the summer period, as the island fills with tourists! Due to the island’s size, everything is close which makes getting around really easy as Balearics town is only 15km away from San Antonio and Santa Eulalia and San Antonio is only 17km away from Santa Eulalia. The airport is close to all the main towns as well and takes no more than 15 minutes to get to any of them.

Balearics Tourism

The Balearic Islands include Mallorca, Menorca, Balearics and Formentera, a tiny island that lies visibly just off the South coast of Balearics. The Balearics belong to Spain and are extremely popular holiday destinations in the Mediterranean and Europe, both as an individual destination

and as a stop over as part of a European tour. What is excellent about these islands is that they remain such a popular destination all year around and not only during summer months, mainly because they feature excellent holiday facilities, have a pleasant climate and very nice beaches.
The summer season opens the 1st of May and ends the 31st October, although nowadays more hotels offer all year accommodation. August is the longest month, when the island gets very crowded on both beaches and roads.
